The Census Training Class and Family Fun Day

The Judge Mathis Community Center was host to the U.S, Census Bureau as a training and area storage site for it field supervisors and operators ; the center also hosted meetings for other census employeess throughout the Detroit operation.

The Census provided many employment opportunities for Detroit residents. The operation was celebrrated by a family fun day that was hosted at the Mathis Community Center.
